FAV art

I want to share with you all my favourite things. These are some my top favourite art pieces..some are new and some I've loved for sooooo much longer.

These two are new "finds" that I found on http://dirtydirtydisco.etsy.com

I really like these because I do a lot of stencil art too..similar t the piece below. I think they bring a fresh and exciting look to any home.

This artist Doug Martin is also a drummer for a band in Springfield, MO called The Trash Angels, if you are around go see them and tell them I sent ya. A great show to go to and nice people. If you purchase a cd - the pic laser printed on the actual cds - I took. :) Anyway back to art.. http://myspace.com/bambamdm . I was there with Doug singing to him and giving him my opinion when he finished this painting..

And everyone knows this next artist, Elsie Flannigan http://abeautifulmess.typepad.com .. I really love the crisp clean look. I think this painting would be awesome to have in a homeschoolng room or a classroom, my sister in law teaches 1st grade and this would def fit in her classroom, it's very inspiring.

Hope you enjoyed those pieces. Please feel free to tell me what artists you enjoy! I love art. I could sit in a coffee gallery listening to bands and looking at paintings all day long. I love here in the UK when they have markets and some indie artist are out there. They paint HUUUUGE canvases - this is what I want to do some day when I can afford to, paint biiiiiiig canvases, seems the bigger the better with my art.

Goodbye my love

It's a sad notion but I put my Print Gocco Pg-10 Super screen printer + kit on E-bay today. (It's listed HERE) I love it and it works great, it's easy to use. Like most things being put on e-bay I need the money. I know they are hard to find and I have people ask me all the time where I got mine, so I want to give others a chance to have one for a good price. So..E-bay it is. I got great use out of it and I hope the next person does too.

RANDOM ACTS OF KINDNESS

Given to me by Mandy Natalini.

I recently have fallen victim to a Random Act of Kindness by Mandy Natalini, when she told me about her daughter and her friend's site http://rakroks.blogspot.com/. It's a really good idea and many people can benefit from it.

One way to be a part of Random Acts of Kindness is when people show you random act of kindness is to pay it forward, this means to perform a random act of kindness on someone else. The site explains it, it can be anything from opening a door, helping someone you see in a struggle (taking trash out? I once took 8 bags/4 trips across a street by myself - all whilst two young men perfectly capable of helping - watching me!) or helping some reach for an item in a store..letting the person with one or two items go in front of you. Etc.

Juliet you know you want it!

This is basically how it is going to be. I have a few touch ups to do - some sponging on the garage building and some more sky detail to do, maybe her heair a bit. But I'm really pleased, they seem more together now.

What do you think?

Progress

Okay so this is what the painting is looking like now. The buyer is excited..I'm not sure where to go from here. I have thought about leaving it, or making some vines and flowers on the right side wrapping around the black building and around her hip. Like they are together and their worlds are starting to come together too.

What do you think? Should I keep going..any ideas? The buyer already said it's better than he was expecting. Let me know your opinions!

Thanks!

WEDNESDAY

The other day a guy I went to school with here in England, looked at my art and decided he wanted to purchase a piece. The piece he wanted was already sold. But for the last week I was feeling inspiration to paint a similar piece!! It's like it was meant to be for him. So he is going to pay me some big bucks for this painting. Here is the start..hope it ends well!!

I love painting, does anyone else paint?

Inspiration time..(all the time)

Hi. First off can I just say sorry for not posting more..content filled blogs. I am a pretty sick little girl to be honest. I have a long list of health problems from bad tonsils to thyroid, hidradenitis suppurativa to polycystic ovaries. And on top of that the meds + any cold I have..make me very poorly and ran down. But I promise I will try harder. I don't think I am as busy next week..so you might see more out of me then!!

On to inspiration..
This music makes me move!!:

(New Device)

This movie gives me many fashion and crafty ideas!!:

This person makes me very crafty:

Mmm. Can't wait to get some energy back. If you pray..send one up for me. I feel soooo dead right now..physically. Which can be so frustrating for me..my mind is in overdrive. :)

Peace and Love!!

Super fun weekend!!

Hello. I had an awesome weekend!! I spent it with my precious friend, Daniel Leigh. He really is becomming a huge inspiration to me. He never ceases to amaze me either! Super talented and so fun to hang out with.

Satuday night we watched a movie and talked all night. Talking is something we do a lot of. My parents could be watching a movie or tv in the living room and for a few hours me and Daniel will be at the kitchen table sipping coffee and talking or inspiring eachother in my office.

Sunday we had a thanksgiving dinner at church. And Sunday night we watched some documentaries. Of course he was super tired (I do wear him out sometimes) and was falling alseep.

Today we hung out and talked more hehe.

We talked a lot about the past. It's really strange. We both have changed a tonne through the years. Our life styles are so different from then. I think each year we bcome better and better assets to ourselves and others. Each year we have gotten closer and closer to eachother.

I'm not really sure how to describe our friendship. Other than we are friends. Family. We love eachother and have a need for eachother. I don't think I've ever felt for anyone the way I feel for Daniel.

Oh yeah and he's a rockstar too. Pictures tomorrow. ox

Etsy Shop Update!!

Ok well I know it's been a while since I've told ya what has been going on with my shop. First off, the past couple weeks have been my favourite in creating and I think that I will enjoy the rest of the year. Sales have been picking up, so tell your family and friends. And don't be afraid to buy a little something, my first 30/maybe 50 sales I', sending out a bunch of freebies too.

I made this art journal. It is composed of completely repurposed and recycled materials. It has a very vintage, one of a kind look. I loved making it. The next one will be more themed and I will make many more!!

These candles are also repurposed. The wax was from church candles I obtained from my church. I added yummy scents, REAL MINT AND LAVENDER from my garden, for a fresh smell. And they are pretty pretty.

Last but not least I made these cute little brooches. They were so fun to make. For me it's like scrapbooking and I LOVE scrapbooking so it was like taking it with me. They are cool on bags and jackets or just worn as a cute little feature on any outfit.

I will be making more art journals. So keep an eye out from them. I will also be doing some soap and ACEO art! Woo. Anyway I better get going, have a meeting with my lawyer!

Ps. I need to clean my office/workspace..does anyone else have a big mess to clean up?

Inspiration Time

I absolutely love this artist, Lauren. She has a clean less complicated style. This ACEO card is available among others in her etsy store. I think ACEO is a great way to collect art for a good price from your favourite artists, and better yet you can display them in those plastic card pockets!! You can really make some beautiful arrangements in color or style or theme!! So keep an eye out for these this winter, it'd be a GREAT hobby to start. Lauren is a part of a community I'm in called WE LOVE ETSY. And boy we do.

Emily Soullierre is a member of a community I am involved in called KcEtsy. I love the bright colors of this wallet. I love mixing and matching patterns and bright colors. I think it NEVER goes out of style and I'm sure there is proof somewhere that the stimulation from fresh colors does rejuvinate, like citrus shower gel.

This girl is so amazing. She is super talented, successful and she doesn't let it get to her head. I enjoy buying and crafting with people who care. You can see the care in their products! I especially love this underwear postcard pack!!

Elsie Flannigan, there is loads to be inspired by on her blog and also, she is having a class, it may be full now but I'm sure there are a lot of chances in the future to learn from her.

I have an exciting announcement for my shop and updates..be sure to keep checking back. Oh I can't wait to tell you. :)
