-Um hello? Is this thing on?

Cuteness to the max..
Handmade teddies! Can you imagine your child having a completely unique and beautiful toy like this? What about that guest room? I think it makes a classy addition. Found here.
This Summer Fun Mini Book. How fun is that? By Rhonda
(I think everyone should make a mini book at some point in their life! They are soooo cool. I will be selling Starbuck's Mini Book Kits in my shop soon. I made mine into a mini book with famous coffee quotes. It will be a gift someday for someone!!)

How awesome are these finds!? I am actually excited (because of Pony Party) to move (someday..soon?) and get rid of old junk and breathe in some vintage love. In my room, my kitched and bathroom. I can't wait for that new home breath of fresh air!

Anyway. In addition to cuteness:

I've lost a lot more weight, this photo is a before and after of my 3 week holiday, how cool is that? I'm very excited and happy about it, because I feel so much better and I can exercise easier. And I love going to the gym!

Something else I love: The Lord. I can't tell you how awesome it feels to love God and let him take you in his arms and care for you. I've never felt sooooo good. I'm not perfect either..just so you know..I could probably use reading my Bible everyday - but I'm working on it. I always remember:

"Seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness. And all these things shall be added unto you."

So..I've been seeking Him first :)

Not many people think shopping is an exercise but when you go to your mall, have you ever notice how some have mile markers?! It's for those mall walkers! I did some today. I didn't buy but ooooh it was so encouraging to see shirts and things that fit..me. Yes me. ME in a normal shop! Well it was Primark, they cater for quite a few people, even so..yay!! Walked loads.

Monday

Weight: 113 kg
Exercise: Aerobics
Today I took Charlie for our morning walk and upon my return, put some soup on and put the headphones in. I love listening to music and working out, it puts me in some daze really. Lots of jogging, dancing, stepping etc. I did a lil ab workout too as - if anyone's ever tried a full hour of aerobics is killer and I wanted to burn some fat and tone whilst my heart rate was up.
It was very refreshing, I sweat it out then I had some soup. Some day I wanna make a vid like this..old school..with my friend Laura. It'll be fun fun fun!!
Tomorrow..probably yoga or something a lil lighter. I wanna do the hardcore exercising every other day. So I don't pull anything. Maybe tomorrow I should do some resistance work. We'll see.
Love love.

Follow me this week!!

I love to try on glasses and take pics in them. Walmart is GREAT for this!
Follow me this week!
Join me in seeing how consistancy and the power of nature can change your body in one week. This week every day I will be posting my weight on Twitter and Facebook along with the 1 hour exercise for the day (all different sorts and these do not include my daily walk). And we'll see how each day my body tones, burns fat and I get lighter.
I got the eating thing down as you all know I had gastric bypass and I pretty much have no choice in the amount anymore (byt he way it's going great). This will be interesting to see how things go. I will try to update every day.
If you have any suggestions for home exercising I can do let me know. I'm looking for fun things!! So far in my mind I have Pilates, Yoga and Kick Boxing. But more gentle ones for inbetween those are good too..like gardening - that burns calories too.

Grow your own !! ;)

This is my garden..
I grew these all from seedlings. Squash, carrot, beets and lettuce, I also am growing red bell peppers - which I got the seed from one I bought in the store, ate, and then I threw it in a milk jug with soil. :) You should try this with any fresh veg or fruit in the store.
The rest of the garden is on the other side, we are also growing spinach, onions, courjettes, sage, dill, sweet basil, majoram, loveland, thyme, rocket, green beans, tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, mint and rhubarb, and probably more I just can think. Oh tiny fire hot chillis too.
This last week (from Tuesday to Tuesday) I've lost 10lbs. I think that is crazy but when for one part of the week you've only had clear fluids and the other part you only eat 4 times a day and a couple teaspoons ot tablespoons a sitting - you're bound to lose weight. I eat less calories in a day than someone would eat in a McDonalds Happy Meal with healthy choices. Crazy. But good.

Still a bit tired. But I'm working up to more nutritious food. It seems I have an intolerance for milke - even skimmed :(. So I've switched to dry and soya, it helps. I love soya anyway. Did you know you can buy soya mince!? It has a lot of protein (which I need) so I add it to my breakfast and many other things. Yummy. Only other problem is my diaphram hurts in the mornings - it feels like I'm being stabbed when I breathe. My surgeon told me not to worry but keep an eye on it. Until then he said take more pain meds regularly. He said it sounded like my body was in pain, he told me not to be tough but to take it easy and rest, it's only been 6 days since my surgery.
..which everyone has been telling me all along. Meep!
PS. I am making some more clutches today. <3
Any one else getting crafty ?

I'm HOME*sweet home

The jist:
Wednesday I had Gastric Bypass Surgery. It was very painful. It's a proceedure that should take two hours and 5 keyholes - however, for me it took 4.5 hours and 9 (yes - 9) keyholes. But it went well. I guess it was hard to move things around in there. But my liver was shrunk so I did the diet really well.

I'm home now. Had a quick diddle on facebook, hotmail, etsy and a couple blogs. Might be a while until i'm back in full swing. this week (when I can manage to get up the stairs) I have a few orders for my shop so post and e-baying to do.

Right now:
I'm very sleepy. My tummy doesn't hurt coz I took my meds but I need some rest. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers and text messages!

Oh and i read LA's blog as soon as I got home - love your doo girl! xx

About Me..

List to do before 29 April:
- finish candles. Today I made cotton candy candles - pink and blue!! They smell great and I also made little mini tealights - they are pink and elegant. They will burn longer - they have organic beeswax.
- get two magazines: Elle and Vogue or Marie Claire, or even a cooking or scrapbooking one.
- finish mini me envelope book.
- make vegetarian lasagne for church Sunday.
- make a thank-you card for Buffy for getting me pickles. They have helped me not to cheat on my diet. Oh and Louisiana Hot Sauce.
- take alergy meds regularly and get plenty of rest and drink a lot of water.
- photograph my latest etsy items for an update.
- keep an eye on my e-bay stuff (buying and selling)
- wash my hair and make sure it's clean (enough to last a few days) including my extensions.
- cut Mum's hair.
- watch 17 Again.
- make sure I have no nail varnish or make up on.
- pack a small bag with plenty to do, nighties and clothes and slippers and robes.
- laundry and linens.

Reasons for (some of the) list:

I have really bad health. I have thyroid problems and a month ago my doctor said "you don't produce enough of the hormone that makes your heart beat. I'm suprprised it's beating now." so I am on a few more drugs - feeling so much better from it. I also have PCOS and Hydradenitis Superativa. Both of which can get so much better if I were to lose some weight. However - because of the thyroid problem..it takes a lot of time and is really hard for me to lose a significant amount of weight. For many reasons..like if my thyroid is off it can make me tired and weak. There have been times when I couldn't even get out of bed or function properly because it was sooooo low. Or if it's off I can be emotional and comfort eat or not eat all then I gain so much back when I start eating again. So, I decided to have weight loss surgery. I had orginally looked into lap band (my father had it) however our surgeon told me that he thought Gastric Bypass would be a better option. I would lose weight fast - stay motivated and most likely would not fail like I would a diet. At this point my weight is seriously effecting my health and this will definitely be a great tool for me to take advantage of. My goal is to lose weight obviously, however - I also want to be hysically able to row a boat, climb a mountain, play tennis, run and jog, play sports and save whopping $ on clothes by getting to buy in sales and shop at Walmart/Asda! My doctors goals are to improve my health and get me off a couple meds I'm on. I can't wait.

There are of course complications that can arise. I could have trouble in surgery, develop a blood clot after, split staples or stitches or become malnutirious. I could develop dumping syndrome or get sick. There are fatalities and I am very nervous. But I trust God and my surgeon - so we are a go.

Take off to the rest of my life: 29 April 2009, five days and counting..

There will be pain and tears..followed by success.

Here is to health!

xx

ps. this means I might/might not be online or posting for a week or so.

Week 1 Online Cooking Class

Week one..smoothies and fraps! Yes I will be teaching my students how to make these delicious over priced drinks from home. (Which shouldn't stop you from enjoying a Cap'n Crunch Frap on the go!!) I will be teaching the art of making them, experimentation and also how to pack true vitamins and healthy goodness into them. (You'd be surprised at how "just because it has fruit doesn't mean I'm getting a load of nutrients") Also, we'll be making delicious fraps! Come learn, there are still spots available. Here.

What are your favourites?
Fav smoothie: Strawberry Kiwi
Fav health smoothie (meal substitution): Strawberry Kiwi with multi-vitamins and iron, ensure - vanilla
