DEAR BLOG,

It's me, Six Gun Annie..remember?

Well, I was really sick for a while. But I've been getting better these past 3 weeks. 2010 is about making decisions and perservering for me. So I'm just going to toughen up a bit, even if it kills me. I visited Springfield, MO to see friends and family.

I hung out this this guy, Brent Thornton. He's like my brother. I can tell him anything and my first night in we always go for dinner and coffee and talk for hours. I love him soooo much.

I met this guy here. Eric Guinn. Man oh man, I call him the Italian Job because he's SO Italian..and gorgeous. I did a photoshoot for the band he(and my mate Doug) is in called Trash Angels, I will show you those later. Eric and I went out a couple times. He is a real gentleman and a great kisser..wait..maybe I'm the good kisser and he just has great lips? I know, oh blog, I am grossing you out, I will stop.

I got an HP Laptop for my birthday (which is Saturday..I'll be 24) and I have wireless internet in my room, so I will be blogging more.

I am back.
Love,
Six Gun Annie

Ps. Later tonight I will be posting some new years goals

TGIF

I have a bit of a rough night last night. Was in a bit of an emo slump. But no worries. I have the house to myself this weekend and I think it's time to do some painting.

Check out the bow in my hair! More will be added to my shop next week!

Enjoy your weekend.

Update pic of me!

Hey everyone. Someone donated some clothes to me the other day and it was like Christmas! There were clothes that fit and some that were too tight, which is perfect because the ones that fit will be too big in a month or so!
So..anyway..I thought I'd share:
Gingerbread White Hot Choc:
The easiest and my most fav quick recipe is about 1 tablespoon of Options White Hot Choc and 1 tablespoon of Gingerbread coffee creamer! Om nom nom.
Home made-
This will make a enough mixture for a few cups! You will only use 1 tablespoons for each cup or according to your taste.
2 cups of powdered milk
1 cup of powdered sugar
1/2 cup of gingerbread dry coffee creamer
Enjoy!

Dreams can come true

I would love to live here (Blueblock Lofts - Pet Friendly!!)

With this little guy (my Charlie, Patterdale Daschund) he's so small!!

And this couch!

With a job typing things up on this..

A girl can dream right?
The thing is..why dream? Do it! The loft costs $575/mo plus $200 non refunable pet deposit. I can do this right? I mean, that's what? 1 cheque, 1/2 of one even. If I worked a good job or even a crappy one - just faithfully. Plus things I do to earn extra income, or money I plan on saving this year. This is very do-able. Especially in Springfield.
The other things - I can survive with what I have or can buy at the thrift store. Who says you can't make a super sweet couch cover? Or even a quilt! (You can buy kits/get info HERE)
I'm excited. All I want to do is work, and trust God right now. I would mind having a significant other..but..I'm patient.
ps. for some reason I wanna move to NYC, but I wait for that after I've had a good job, saved money so maybe a few years down the rd when I'm out of debt.

My inspiration this week..

These two ladies have really been an inspiration this week to me reg. following your dreams and working hard to make it a career.
Elsie Flannigan.
Leigh-Ann Keffer
And I have been watching Pretty in Pink every night for last month or so. I just love Andie Walsh. She is so inspiring especially for someone like me - who doesn't have a lot of money right now. I love her fashion, I've always had tonnes of pink in my wardrobe and I love it!
I also love the simple fashion and innocents of Ms Hepburn. My friend Megan Jaeger looks very much like her. So beautiful and simple.

I've kind of had a rough couple of weeks. I just wanted to share and encourage you to never give up. Just when you think things couldn't get any worse they can and will. But we are human and we can be broken down several times but it allows us healing time to become stronger and wiser. I don't know what a majority of my readers believe in..I believe in God. I do. I've wept nights this week crying asking myself yo "wake up wake up wake up" because what seemed to be a nightmare was only getting worse and worse..then I pray "I know you can do this Lord, give me a sign. I know you can help me and I know you change this, I believe you have the power to to do anything." and he did. He gave me a sign. Someone the right one, said the words I needed to hear when I needed to hear it. My days are looking up now. And I have God to thank. He is my biggest inspiration of all time!

First gig ever

This was my first gig ever. I was so nervous my voice was shakey, I'm not that great on guitar either. But at least it got me going. I played a few more shows after this with my bf.

The commentary is my old roomate Chelsey. I was so nervous I kept looking at her and making faces etc.

I was a lil upset this night because my boyfriend didn't come out to see me play..my first gig. When I went to his shows alllll the time. No - we are not still together. Thank-goodness.

This was two years ago, I can't believe how much different I look now. Smaller. Hehe .

oooooh beehiiiive

I wanted to cut my hair, so I did a beehive before I did. Just for kicks.

Lil photo shoot. :)

Then I cut my hair.

It was greasy here, I just washed it and it has body and layers and I'm so excited. I can't believe I cut my own hair. It's not too hard, only getting the back took forever and a day. I'm very confident to cut someone else's hair! I have an apt to do so can't wait to do some more!
Anyone else give themselves a trim lately?

Grow your own !! ;)

This is my garden..
I grew these all from seedlings. Squash, carrot, beets and lettuce, I also am growing red bell peppers - which I got the seed from one I bought in the store, ate, and then I threw it in a milk jug with soil. :) You should try this with any fresh veg or fruit in the store.
The rest of the garden is on the other side, we are also growing spinach, onions, courjettes, sage, dill, sweet basil, majoram, loveland, thyme, rocket, green beans, tomatoes, strawberries, blueberries, mint and rhubarb, and probably more I just can think. Oh tiny fire hot chillis too.
This last week (from Tuesday to Tuesday) I've lost 10lbs. I think that is crazy but when for one part of the week you've only had clear fluids and the other part you only eat 4 times a day and a couple teaspoons ot tablespoons a sitting - you're bound to lose weight. I eat less calories in a day than someone would eat in a McDonalds Happy Meal with healthy choices. Crazy. But good.

Still a bit tired. But I'm working up to more nutritious food. It seems I have an intolerance for milke - even skimmed :(. So I've switched to dry and soya, it helps. I love soya anyway. Did you know you can buy soya mince!? It has a lot of protein (which I need) so I add it to my breakfast and many other things. Yummy. Only other problem is my diaphram hurts in the mornings - it feels like I'm being stabbed when I breathe. My surgeon told me not to worry but keep an eye on it. Until then he said take more pain meds regularly. He said it sounded like my body was in pain, he told me not to be tough but to take it easy and rest, it's only been 6 days since my surgery.
..which everyone has been telling me all along. Meep!
PS. I am making some more clutches today. <3
Any one else getting crafty ?

24 April 2009

About Me..

List to do before 29 April:
- finish candles. Today I made cotton candy candles - pink and blue!! They smell great and I also made little mini tealights - they are pink and elegant. They will burn longer - they have organic beeswax.
- get two magazines: Elle and Vogue or Marie Claire, or even a cooking or scrapbooking one.
- finish mini me envelope book.
- make vegetarian lasagne for church Sunday.
- make a thank-you card for Buffy for getting me pickles. They have helped me not to cheat on my diet. Oh and Louisiana Hot Sauce.
- take alergy meds regularly and get plenty of rest and drink a lot of water.
- photograph my latest etsy items for an update.
- keep an eye on my e-bay stuff (buying and selling)
- wash my hair and make sure it's clean (enough to last a few days) including my extensions.
- cut Mum's hair.
- watch 17 Again.
- make sure I have no nail varnish or make up on.
- pack a small bag with plenty to do, nighties and clothes and slippers and robes.
- laundry and linens.

Reasons for (some of the) list:

I have really bad health. I have thyroid problems and a month ago my doctor said "you don't produce enough of the hormone that makes your heart beat. I'm suprprised it's beating now." so I am on a few more drugs - feeling so much better from it. I also have PCOS and Hydradenitis Superativa. Both of which can get so much better if I were to lose some weight. However - because of the thyroid problem..it takes a lot of time and is really hard for me to lose a significant amount of weight. For many reasons..like if my thyroid is off it can make me tired and weak. There have been times when I couldn't even get out of bed or function properly because it was sooooo low. Or if it's off I can be emotional and comfort eat or not eat all then I gain so much back when I start eating again. So, I decided to have weight loss surgery. I had orginally looked into lap band (my father had it) however our surgeon told me that he thought Gastric Bypass would be a better option. I would lose weight fast - stay motivated and most likely would not fail like I would a diet. At this point my weight is seriously effecting my health and this will definitely be a great tool for me to take advantage of. My goal is to lose weight obviously, however - I also want to be hysically able to row a boat, climb a mountain, play tennis, run and jog, play sports and save whopping $ on clothes by getting to buy in sales and shop at Walmart/Asda! My doctors goals are to improve my health and get me off a couple meds I'm on. I can't wait.

There are of course complications that can arise. I could have trouble in surgery, develop a blood clot after, split staples or stitches or become malnutirious. I could develop dumping syndrome or get sick. There are fatalities and I am very nervous. But I trust God and my surgeon - so we are a go.

Take off to the rest of my life: 29 April 2009, five days and counting..

There will be pain and tears..followed by success.

Here is to health!

xx

ps. this means I might/might not be online or posting for a week or so.
